The Alfa Romeo Montreal, presented at Expo 67 as a concept and entering production in 1970, is one of the most striking and technically fascinating Alfa Romeos ever produced. Styled by Bertone's Marcello Gandini, the Montreal featured dramatic air intakes disguising the same Spica fuel-injected V8 engine derived from the T33 racing car — making it, uniquely, a road car with a genuine motorsport engine. Its complex mechanicals and limited production (3,917 units in total) have made it one of the most desirable Italian collectibles.
