tamiya-1-700-us-navy-battleship-bb-61-iowa-scale-model-kit
Tamiya US Navy Battleship BB-61 Iowa Kit 1:700 Diecast Model Ship
This 1/700 scale assembly model kit depicts the USS Iowa as she appeared during the Marianas Campaign in 1944. The kit accurately captures specific differences from sister ships like the USS Missouri, including an open bridge, bow shape, observation deck, radar antenna, and 20mm guns atop Number 2 turret. The left/right hull halves design allows easy assembly while maintaining an ultra-realistic finish. Main turrets can rotate after completion using polycaps. Equipment and armament such as 40mm and 20mm guns are reproduced in faithful detail. The kit includes a full-color finishing guide for the Measure 32/1B camouflage pattern used during the campaign. Detailed models of Vought OS2U Kingfisher floatplanes are also included. This is an ideal addition to any World War II naval history scale model collection and makes a rewarding project for enthusiasts.

Scale: 1/700
Brand: Tamiya
Product Type: Scale Model Ship Kit
Ship Class: Iowa-class Battleship
Ship Name: USS Iowa (BB-61)
Year Depicted: 1944
Campaign Depicted: Marianas Campaign
Material: Plastic
Features: Rotating turrets, detailed armament, floatplane models, left/right hull halves, Measure 32/1B camouflage guide
Skill Level: Intermediate
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0936/4619/2984/files/tamiya-us-navy-battleship-bb-61-iowa-643627.jpg?v=1779800585
